sylvester stalloneSylvester Stallone was originally born July 6, 1946 in Hell's Kitchen as Michael Sylvester Gardenzio Stallone. He is the older son of Francesco "Frank" Stallone, Jr. and is an Italian hairdresser, as well as Jackie Stallone Sr., who is an astrologer/dancer. Frank Stallone is his younger brother and actor. The complications of childbirth led to the lower left part of Sylvester's face to be paralyzed, giving him his now-iconic "snarling" look , and a slightly slurred speech. Stallone had a portion of his childhood in foster care because of the volatile relationship between parents and children. The couple divorced after a while. Stallone was a drama student at American College in Switzerland, before moving to the University of Miami. After completing his studies in the fall of 1964, he quit his school and moved to New York City in order to pursue a career in acting.
