Ruth Wilson

Ruth Wilson has won two Olivier Awards and the Golden Globe Award. She gave her Broadway debut in Nick Payne's Constellations opposite Jake Gyllenhaal. She is best known for her performance as Alison Lockhart in the Showtime series "The Affair" (Golden Globe Award). The credits on her film include The Little Stranger, Dark River, I Am the Pretty Thing It Lives In the House The Suite FranASSaise, Locke, Saving Mr. Banks, The Lone Ranger, and Anna Karenina. At both the Donmar Warehouse she won Olivier Awards, Best Actress in Anna Christie, opposite Jude Law as well as Best Actress in A Streetcar Named Desire alongside Rachel Weisz. The National Theatre was nominated for awarding her the Olivier Award as Best Actress in Hedda Gabrieller. Wilson was nominated to eight Emmy Awards for her role in "Luther," a BBC drama which received acclaim from critics. She was awarded BAFTA as well as Golden Globe nominations for Best lead actress for"Jane" from the BBC mini-series "Jane Eyre." In 2007, the actress made her London debut with Maxim Gorky's Philistines in The National Theatre.
