Niykee is a song writer who, despite her whirlwind career has maintained her routine. Her personal highlights have included being chosen by Snoop dogg to be his sidekick during the YouTube Brandcast event in May 2013. Now a magnet for up-and-coming producers, she regularly combs through beats sent her way and finds that many are able to spark song ideas. After just five seconds that I can determine whether a beat is worthwhile. From there I can get an idea of a whole song inside my head and begin to compose. I'll sit out on my front porch and play my guitar and lyrics appear and it's usually all done in under thirty minutes. Niykee continues to develop her skills as a poet and lyrics writer. She notes how her experiences of suffering through the years is a constant source of unique motivation. Even when she's not writing about the things which have actually happened, all of her pain due to her childhood and the losing her younger sister find its way into music. The music I write is inspired by my experiences and I see the bigger picture beneath everything. This is one of the things that is most important to me.
