Julia-roberts

Julia Fiona Roberts born to Betty Lou Bredemus (mother) and Walter Grady Roberts on October 28, 1967. Her great-grandfather John Pendleton Roberts, a farmer, was the first Roberts to arrive in Atlanta. The Robertses' father was interested in theater from a young age. When he was a student at Emory University he appeared in numerous productions on and off the campus. He joined the military in 1953. While being stationed at Biloxi Mississippi, he was a part of the military's production, which featured Betty Lou Bredemus who was part of the air force. In 1955, the couple got married and in 1956 their son Eric Anthony was born. Walter was studying at Tulane University, New Orleans Louisiana. In 1957 they quit the Air Force and Walter started his education at Tulane. Walter began working for Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio in 1960. Walter along with Betty Lou produced a Saturday matinee local TV show for kids named Bum Bum and His Buddies in 1964. This was a project that they funded themselves. The Actors and Writers Workshop was established in 1964 and lasted for 6 years. They were joined by Lelisa Billingsley (also known as Lisa) and Julia (also known as Julie) during this period.
